About the workshop
Discover a creative and unusual approach to realistic drawing in this workshop, where photography and pastel art come together to create one unique artwork.
We will start with a reference photograph of a Japanese origami paper crane, cut it in half, and use one half as the starting point for our artwork. The challenge is to recreate the missing half using pastel pencils, carefully matching the colours, shapes, shadows, and textures of the original photograph.
Step by step, you will learn techniques for observing details, mixing colours, creating realistic textures, and achieving smooth transitions between photography and drawing.
The final result will be a fascinating combination of half photograph and half pastel drawing, with the goal of making the two halves look as seamless and realistic as possible.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and anyone interested in exploring a creative drawing technique. No previous drawing experience is required. About the Artist
