Kokeshi Doll Drawing Workshop

Join us for a relaxing and inspiring pastel drawing workshop dedicated to the charm and elegance of Japanese Kokeshi Dolls with artist André Rios.

Japanese kokeshi dolls combine simple, elegant shapes with beautiful decorative patterns and meaningful symbolism. Their delicate designs often feature elements of Japanese culture, including cherry blossoms (sakura), traditional kimono patterns, and motifs inspired by nature.

André will guide you step by step through the process of creating your own Kokeshi Doll artwork using pastel pencils. You will learn how to develop smooth colour transitions, create realistic volume and highlights, and capture the delicate floral patterns and decorative details that make these dolls so distinctive.

Throughout the workshop, André will share practical techniques and professional tips to help you build confidence with pastel pencils and achieve beautiful results.
