About the Instructor
André Rios is an award-winning artist who has developed a multidisciplinary skillset across a wide range of artistic mediums, combining technical precision with a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship.
Each year, he travels to Japan and South Korea to study traditional arts and techniques directly at their source, continually refining his practice and expanding his knowledge. Through these journeys, he builds meaningful connections with master artisans and immerses himself in the cultural context behind each craft.
Based in the Netherlands, André is dedicated to sharing these traditions with a wider audience, offering workshops that make these refined and often rare practices accessible. Through his teaching, he brings not only technical guidance, but also a genuine appreciation for the history, discipline, and beauty embedded in each art form.
